Grow in Faith and Friendship this August at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Lititz
The Christian life was never intended to be lived alone. From the earliest days of the Church, believers gathered regularly around God’s Word, the Sacraments, prayer, and fellowship, encouraging one another in the faith and bearing one another’s burdens. At Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Lititz, PA, we continue this joyful pattern as we gather not only for Divine Service each Lord’s Day but also throughout the month for Bible studies, fellowship events, and opportunities to strengthen the bonds we share in Christ. These gatherings are much more than social events. They are opportunities for Christians to encourage one another, to grow together in the knowledge of God’s Word, and to live out the fellowship that Christ has created through His death and resurrection. Whether you have worshiped at Mount Calvary for decades or are searching for a faithful Confessional Lutheran church near Lancaster, PA, we invite you to join us throughout August as we receive Christ’s gifts and enjoy the blessing of Christian community.
Dining Out Night – Tuesday, August 4
Building Christian Fellowship Around the Table
Join us on Tuesday, August 4, for our monthly Dining Out Night at T.J. Rockwell’s, located at 800 Mt. Gretna Road in Elizabethtown. Terry Nixdorf will host the evening as members gather to enjoy excellent American cuisine and meaningful conversation with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Throughout the Scriptures, meals often accompany fellowship, thanksgiving, and joyful conversation among God’s people. While this evening is simply an opportunity to enjoy a meal together, it also reminds us that Christ has made us members of one family through His Gospel. Friendships formed around the dinner table often become lasting encouragements within the congregation. Please sign up on the easel in the Narthex, and we hope you will join us.
Mom’s Meet-Up – Friday, August 7
Encouragement for Mothers and Young Families
Mothers and children are invited to gather on Friday, August 7, from 9:00 until 11:00 AM for our monthly Mom’s Meet-Up. This relaxed gathering provides a welcoming environment where mothers can encourage one another, build friendships, and enjoy conversation while children spend time together. Christian motherhood is both a tremendous blessing and a holy vocation. In a world that often leaves families feeling isolated, opportunities to gather with fellow Christian mothers provide encouragement, wisdom, and mutual support. Together we continue pointing one another to Christ, who strengthens parents through His grace as they raise children in the faith. If you have any questions, please contact the church office.
