The Seventeenth Sunday after Trinity at Mount Calvary

biblical-church-lititz

In this week’s sermon at Mount Calvary, Jesus takes issue with human dealings. The religious leaders don’t want Jesus to heal a man on the Sabbath, and as Jesus is in the house He notices everyone always taking the higher place and seeking glory for themselves. While Christ is rejected and hated for doing what is right, He does it anyway. Here we see Christ’s love. He comes for sinful humans that always judge things wrongly. He dies for us, taking the lowest place, to give us life, that we may be exalted.
