Join Lutherans for the 2026 Pennsylvania March for Life in Harrisburg

Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Lititz, PA invites pro-life Lutherans from across Pennsylvania to gather together before the 2026 Pennsylvania March for Life on Monday, September 21, 2026. This annual gathering provides an opportunity for Lutheran Christians to encourage one another, hear from leaders engaged in life ministry, and then walk together to the Pennsylvania State Capitol for the PA March for Life. The gathering will take place at the Hilton Harrisburg, One N. 2nd Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101, just a short walk from the Capitol.

Our Christian concern for human life begins with something greater than politics or public policy. Holy Scripture teaches that every human life is a creaturely gift from God and that our neighbors, including the unborn, mothers, fathers, children, the elderly, and those facing difficult circumstances, are given to us to love and serve. The Gospel also reminds us why Christians approach our neighbors with compassion: Christ gave Himself for sinners and has called us to receive and care for those whom God places before us.

Gather with Pro-Life Lutherans Before the PA March for Life

The day will begin from 9:00 to 10:00 AM with a meet and greet and full breakfast, graciously provided free of charge by Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. At 10:00 AM, attendees will be welcomed for a special presentation, “That They May Have Life.” The keynote speakers will be Dr. Aric Penske, Executive Director of Lutherans for Life, and Jill B. Hartman, Executive Director of A Woman’s Concern Pregnancy & Parenting Resource Center. This time together gives Lutherans an opportunity for fellowship and encouragement before joining the larger March for Life Pennsylvania gathering.

At 10:30 AM, the Lutheran group will leave the Hilton and walk together to the Capitol steps for the rally. The Pennsylvania March for Life itself begins at 12:00 PM. The statewide March for Life movement seeks to bring a public pro-life witness directly to state capitals, where many consequential decisions concerning protections for unborn children, women, and families are now made.

A Lutheran Witness to the God-Given Gift of Life

Mount Calvary has helped build a growing Lutheran presence at the Pennsylvania March for Life in recent years. In 2024, nearly 100 pro-life Lutherans gathered before the march, and the congregation has continued inviting Lutheran Christians of all ages to stand together in Harrisburg. The goal is not simply to increase attendance, but to bear a clear Christian witness that every human life has dignity because life comes from the gracious hand of our Creator.

This conviction also calls Christians to more than words. Pro-life ministry includes caring for mothers and fathers, supporting children and families, encouraging pregnancy and parenting ministries, and serving vulnerable neighbors in their times of need. Our public confession of life is therefore joined to the Christian vocation of loving the neighbor whom God has placed before us.
