Let’s celebrate our risen Lord and Savior with our shut-in and nursing home members, flooding their mailbox with cards or notes with well wishes. Can you bless two individuals on this list this Easter? Please mail or deliver a card or gift of your choosing!

Free garden space is available at Nancy Weichel’s home on Rohrerstown Rd., Lancaster, to anyone who is interested in tilling the yard and planting. Please contact Nancy for more information or the church office here.

The Fifth Sunday in Lent

A week before Holy Week our journey in Lent gets darker. The crosses in the church are veiled, and the Glory be to the Father (Gloria Patri) is omitted. Even as our goal of Jesus’ Passion draws nearer, we see in today’s Gospel that Jesus comes to do the will of the Father and seek His Father’s honor, not His own. This is the Lord’s great glory which we laud. Praise be to Jesus who came to do what the Father asked of Him and who loved to do it.  May we do the same in our lives.
