Worship & Learning — When You Arrive
At Mount Calvary, we hold to the confessions of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, affirming that “Jesus is true God and true man,” and that our gathering is grounded in historic, Christ-centered doctrine. Our worship follows a liturgical format that centers around Scripture and the sacraments, grounded in tradition, but alive and welcoming to all.
- Sunday Morning Service: 9:00 AM
- Sunday Bible Class: 10:30 AM
- Wednesday Evening Service: 7:00 PM
A Sanctuary Rich with Meaning
Our sanctuary is more than a beautiful building, it’s shaped by deeply significant liturgical symbolism. Anchoring our worship space are figures like the apostles Peter (at the pulpit) and Paul (at the lectern), serving as reminders of the living Word that guides us. Our sanctuary layout recently refreshed, retains meaning and devotion at every turn.
Connecting Through Our Story & Community
Founded on September 13, 1904, with just 24 charter members, Mount Calvary has grown into a faithful light in the heart of Lancaster County. We’ve remained committed to our founding roots, drawing people from Lancaster, Lititz, Manheim, Ephrata, Lebanon, Hershey, York, and beyond as our posts affirm.
Beyond Sunday worship, our congregation gathers through Bible studies, devotions, newsletters, and community service. Whether you’re a family, student, or lifelong learner, you’ll find groups to engage with from Sunday School to youth events, from men’s breakfast to women’s Bible study. Our monthly Beacon newsletter keeps everyone in touch with the vibrant spiritual life happening among us.
Convenient Parking & Accessibility
As you arrive, you’ll find ample parking, including disability-accessible spaces, lined out and close to our main entrance. The building is designed for ease of movement, with wide doorways and beautifully maintained grounds. We want everyone to arrive with ease and feel uplifted before they even step inside.
