Lutherans at March for Life

Members of the Seifferlein and West family attended the March for Life in our nation’s capital on Friday, January 23. (Izzy and Lily flew from their respective Concordias with their life teams to attend a Y4Life conference for LCMS college students). In addition they met Hershey summer intern Ella Hildebrand! We walk, we speak, we think, we love, we care, we stand–for the dignity of all, from conception to natural death.

MARCH, LUTHERANS, CHRISTIANS
FOR LIFE

Lutheran Church in Lititz at Mount Calvary

This week we celebrate The Conversion of the Apostle Paul. The bible says, “He who used to persecute us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy”(Galatians 1:23). The conversion of Paul is a dramatic example of what God does in us. The bondage of our sin makes saving faith impossible. But even this is no obstacle for our Lord’s grace. Baptized, filled with the Holy Spirit, and hearing the Word of Christ, our ears are opened and our spiritual blindness is lifted. Paul now considers everything that he left behind as “rubbish” compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:8). We rejoice now, with Paul, in the eternal life that we, with him, will inherit.

The bulletin can be found here. The audio of the Sermon is available below. This week we were grateful to welcome Charles to new membership by way of Holy Baptism and Karen by Confirmation. May our Lord continue to feed them through His Word and Sacrament.

Church in Lititz Every Wednesday Night

As the week unfolds and the burdens of daily life press in, Mount Calvary Lutheran Church warmly invites you to join us for the Midweek Divine Service tonight and every Wednesday evening. In the midst of busy schedules and constant noise, this service offers a quiet, reverent gathering around the Lord’s life-giving gifts. Here, Christ comes to His people not with demands, but with mercy, through His Word faithfully proclaimed and His Sacraments administered according to His promise.

The Midweek Divine Service follows the historic liturgy of the Church, shaped by Scripture, prayer, and hymnody that has sustained Christians for generations. Each week, we pause to confess our sins, hear the absolution spoken in Christ’s name, listen to the Scriptures, and receive comfort and strength through the preaching of the Gospel. It is a time set apart for restoration, reflection, and renewal in the grace of God.
