Mount Calvary Lutheran Church This Week
Women’s Bible Study on Saturday
Please join the Women of Mount Calvary for a Bible Class and time together on Saturday, April 13 from 11:00-12:30 PM with a light brunch theme. (This is a different meeting time!) This month we will look at John chapter 9 as we consider Jesus’ healing of a man who was born blind. All women of the congregation are welcome to attend this class no matter what their knowledge is of the bible. Please speak with Mary Anne Sylvester or Deb Lynch for more information.
Join in Supporting Mount Calvary’s College Students
Support our college students! The college students of Mount Calvary will soon be wrapping up their year with papers and exams. Consider sending them a note of encouragement on behalf of our congregation. Our Lord Jesus studied among the doctors and teachers of Judaism both sitting at their feet and answering their questions. May we pray for them as they grow in wisdom and stature, in favor with both God and man. Their addresses are available here.

Prepare for The Third Sunday of Easter Service & Bible Class
Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He gave His life for the sheep. Risen from the dead, He continues to lead us to the green pastures of His Word and the living waters of Baptism and Holy Communion. He leads us through the valley of the shadow of death, to eternal life. All we like sheep have gone astray, but now we have returned to the Shepherd and Ruler of our souls. You may prepare by reading the Propers of the day.
Propers Reading:
Old Testament: Ezekiel 34:11-16
Psalm: Psalm 23:1-6
Epistle: 1 Peter 2:21-25
Gospel: John 10:11-16
Join us for Adult Bible Class as we read Daniel chapter 3. King Nebuchadnezzar erects an image of gold and threatens to throw into a Fiery Furnace any person who does not bow down and worship the image. We will consider Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and their respectful unwillingness to comply, as well as the fourth visitor that appears with them in the furnace to converse with them.
