Mount Calvary
This Saturday morning Mount Calvary Church in Lititz PA will host the Men’s Bible Study Breakfast and meet at 7:30 in the morning, May 31 at Mount Calvary Church. Come enjoy a hearty breakfast and good conversation with your brothers in Christ. Join us as we strengthen our understanding in our God-given roles as men in our lives, church, and world. Reviewing the writings of the Book of Concord and some of the pieces that Luther contributed like the Table of Duties in the Small Catechism is something churches in Lititz Pa would benefit from. It is ever more important to take time as a family in Christ to join in good times and rich discussion that help guide us through life in this world and preparing for the world to come. Young Families Group and the Young at Heart will meet Saturday, May 31 at 4:00 PM for a potluck (bring a dish or two to pass) and discussion-based study at the home of David & Anna Garber. If you are interested in good food and great conversation for the whole family then please sign up on the easel in the narthex, or you can reach out and send a message to the Church Office. Join in the community and fun discussions about the impact of Churches in Lititz Pa and the Lancaster Pa area.

On the Sunday after the Ascension, our Lord promises the Holy Spirit, that His holy apostles will be His chosen witnesses to the ends of the world, and that they will be persecuted for the faith. We pray for God’s Holy Spirit that we may witness to His saving acts and be strengthened to endure persecution for the love of Jesus’ name against those who hate us. You may prepare by reading the Propers of the day.
Readings for this Sunday:
Ezekiel 36:23-28
Psalm 51:1-12
1 Peter 4:7-11
John 15:26, John 16:1-4
O King of glory, Lord of hosts, uplifted in triumph far above all heavens, leave us not without consolation but send us the Spirit of truth whom You promised from the Father; for You live and reign with Him and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
Join us in Adult Bible Class after the service! This week we will complete our study of the Power and Primacy of the Pope and study Song of Songs 6:11-7:1, “The Shulammite is Swept up in Royal Chariots!”
