Mount Calvary Church Board of Outreach Update

Board of Witness & Outreach at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church

Recent Witness and Outreach Highlights

The congregation of Mount Calvary is actively engaged in activities that reach out to the community and the world with the good news of forgiveness in Jesus Christ. The Board of Witness and Outreach assists with presenting opportunities for the congregation to support and serve alongside local, national, and worldwide ministries and organizations that are delivering the love of God through word and deed.

Let us praise God for these recent congregational outreach opportunities:

• NEFFSVILLE NURSING HOME. We continue to provide a worship service for the residents and staff of Neffsville Nursing Home on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 2:30pm with Pr. Seifferlein. 32 residents recently attended the service, along with ten volunteers from Mount Calvary who assisted by talking and praying with the residents.

• THANK YOU! Because of your generosity, the Outreach Board was able to purchase $300 worth of gift cards for Nurse’s Week. Jamie from Neffsville expressed her deep appreciation for everything Mount Calvary does to serve the residents and staff.

• GOOD SAMARITAN SERVICES OF EPHRATA. Mount Calvary conducts regular monthly collections, with information shared in the colorful bulletin inserts.

• LUTHERANS IN AFRICA. Our quarterly special missions offering focus is Lutherans for Africa.

• HOUSE OF HIS CREATION. Nancy and Ron Steigler, along with Michael and Candace Usner, Nan and Jim Bloodworth, and Jeanie Zentz represented Mount Calvary Lutheran Church while attending HoHC’s 50th anniversary dinner Thursday, May 2, 2024.
