Mount Calvary Lutheran Church Announcements
Mount Calvary’s December Beacon
The December Beacon is available to download here. Print copies are also available on the credenza in the narthex. There are many announcements including the advent devotionals. Enjoy the yearly custom of tracking down the days to Christmas through Advent devotions. Trace the promises of our Savior’s coming through Scripture. Two options are made available for your use this year including the Lutheran Hour Ministries devotional or the Steadfast Lutherans devotional on Christ in the Old Testament. A hardcopy of all devotions is available on the credenza in the narthex. Pass one on as a gift to a friend as we celebrate the Reason for the season. (We also offer a children’s Advent calendar activity.)

Mount Calvary November 26 Worship & Bible Class
It’s the last Sunday of the Church Year! We gather to hear one final word. The bridegroom is coming. Are you ready for Jesus’ return?
“Wake, awake, for night is flying,”
The watchmen on the heights are crying;
“Awake, Jerusalem, arise!”
Midnight hears the welcome voices
And at the thrilling cry rejoices:
“Oh, where are ye, ye virgins wise?
The Bridegroom comes, awake!
Your lamps with gladness take!
Alleluia!
With bridal care
Yourselves prepare
To meet the Bridegroom, who is near.”

Join us for Adult Bible Class for the worship service! It’s been over a month since we studied Romans. We welcome ourselves back to this great book by examining chapter 11. Paul deals with the question of why so many Jews rejected the faith and why the Gentiles, who by and large received the Gospel in great numbers, shouldn’t be so smug.
