Mission Giving Update

Twelve “Special Mission Offering” envelopes are inserted in your box of envelopes each year, one for each month. For each quarter of the year, the congregation sends all monies received in those envelopes to a chosen mission that we support. Our third quarter offering goes to Luther Classical College. This is a new Lutheran college opening in the Fall of 2025 in Casper, Wyoming. The college aims to be small, affordable, and unapologetically Lutheran. Focusing on a “classical” experience, the college will promote Christian culture, and the priority of Christian marriage, family, and piety using the “great books” of the past such as Latin, history, theology, literature, logic, rhetoric, music, geometry, biology, and mathematics. The college also intends to form a trade partnership for students seeking gainful employment in the skilled trades (e.g. electrical, plumbing, architectural.) Join our congregation in supporting our young people in the most formative years of their lives through this new venture.

By-Laws Committee Report

The By-Laws Committee has completed its review of the Constitution & By-Laws and has prepared our “Alterations & Recommendations” in a 15-page format that will be distributed by mid-August for Voter review. This format contains only the Change, Addition, or Deletion and not the entire Constitution & By-Laws. Each Change, Addition, or Deletion is followed by the committee’s comments regarding the reason for the change. A special Voter’s Meeting will be scheduled in September to receive Voter questions and input for any further recommended changes. Please contact Ron Stiegler with questions or reach out to the church office for assistance.

Gift Planning Through The LCMS Foundation

Ron Grimm is our very own Gift Planning Counselor in the English District. He works through his employer, the LCMS Foundation, to provide planned giving services to LCMS members, helping them make sure their God-given assets—things like retirement accounts, their home or land—will leave a positive, lasting impact upon the people they love, but also the congregation or ministries they care about most.
