2025 Epiphany Divine Service at Calvary Church
Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church did celebrate the Epiphany of Our Lord on Monday, January 6. This festival marks the beginning of the revelation to the nations that Jesus Christ is the Redeemer of the world. The members of Mount Calvary were invited to join this celebration. Divine Service was be held at 7:00 PM. A dessert social did follow afterwards. Calvary is located at 208 Woods Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050 and is served by Pastor Luke Zimmerman.
Join the Altar Guild as a Volunteer
We are in need of volunteers to serve on our Altar Guild. The Altar Guild prepares the altar for communion services and cleans up afterward. You can work alone or with a friend/family member. Be a Voice for the Voiceless
On January 24 you are invited to march with LCMS President Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison and other Lutherans at the National March for Life in Washington, D.C. Your presence will help provide a public witness to the sanctity of life and God’s design for marriage and family. First, join your brothers and sisters in Christ for Divine Service at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Alexandria, VA, followed by brunch in the church fellowship hall. The Second Sunday after Christmas Sermon
This week we pick up the story of Christmas in the palace of Jerusalem where a power-hungry king named Herod fears the birth of a child in Bethlehem and plots to kill Him. Christ escapes and journeys to Egypt as God’s people of old did also. While the Israelites were unfaithful in their journeys, Christ came to complete what they failed at, so that we, in His faithfulness, might become the righteousness of God in Him. As sons and daughters of God through faith, we are imputed with Christ’s perfect life. No worldly rulers can take away what we have in Jesus.

What pouch of myrrh and where does it go?
This week we will study Song of Songs 1:9-17, “The Bride Adorned and the Cedar Sanctuary of Love.” In the last section that we studied, the Shulamite yearned to see Solomon, the object of her love, but was separated from him because of his many responsibilities.
