Building Renovations Coming to Mount Calvary
The sanctuary was relocated to the evangelism room this afternoon in preparation for our upcoming renovation. Thank you to the many volunteers who assisted in this effort! For the next several months during the sanctuary renovation, you will continue to enter the church through the main entrance at the portico, just as you have done in the past. Then follow the hall to your right in order to get to the evangelism wing. We have 165 chairs in the room, plenty of space for you join us!

Septuagesima Sunday at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church
This Sunday we begin the countdown to Lent. The title of our Sunday, “Septuagesima” comes from Latin word 70. Life isn’t just a random pile of days. Though we begin the trudge through Lent, we know that our Lord’s resurrection from death and His victory over sin and Satan is ahead. When days get long and troubles increase, we walk forward knowing that we walk not towards defeat, but eternal victory through our Lord, Jesus Christ. This Sunday we will hear of the Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard from Matthew 20:1-16. All of the workers work different amounts, but they are all paid a days’ wage. Because of this some feel that they were treated unfairly. Do we grumble against God when our life does not go as planned or we feel that He has shortchanged us? Our Lord aims to set our minds and hearts back on true ways of thinking and believing. He is gracious, loves us dearly, and gives us good work to do in His vineyard.
