Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Lititz PA is Under Construction

Enjoy an update from the Church Council on the efforts under way

Having had our building permit approved on April 1, we’ve jumped headfirst into the demolition work! The old boiler and air handlers (above the library and narthex) have been removed, new concrete pads were poured outside, and the new VRF unit was installed. In the sanctuary, we’ve removed the old chancel platform and bulkhead, opened the walls where new doors will be installed, removed the old serving windows from the kitchen, and started marking where new walls will be installed. You’ll even notice that we’ve removed the ‘coat closet’ wall in the narthex as the crew works on refitting the table and chair storage closet into a new robing room and expanded sacristy.

Finally, following a recent service in Lititz PA, we had a short presentation about the new sanctuary pews. And, as if hearing the exciting news wasn’t enough, we had a sample chair and pew for you to test drive. We also had a sample pew end that had the exact stain color, top edge were selected for our sanctuary. Stay tuned for more exciting news as our renovation continues to unfold.

Check out some concept images for the new sanctuary that we are so excited to see come to life. These are just to give you an idea of the updates and are not exact, especially the guy in the pulpit without a collar : )
