Mount Calvary
Dedication Sunday, July 20 – Kantor Kevin Hildebrand of Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne will be our organist next Sunday as we dedicate our new rose window and our altar, pulpit, and lectern. Come join us for this festive celebration at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Lancaster.
Six members of our congregation, Jim, Kathy, Ryan, and Sarah Esterby, David Paul Schulze and Lily Seifferlein are heading to New Orleans July 19-23 for the 2025 LCMS Youth Gathering where thousands of high school students and adult leaders will gather around the theme of ENDURE, leaning into Hebrews 12:1-3. Students will have the opportunity to be in Bible Study and worship with thousands of peers, join in breakout sessions, dig into topics that they face each day, and participate in Divine Worship with Holy Communion on the last day of the Gathering. Our adults will serve as leaders and helpers, sent forth by our congregation. We pray for them as they travel!

What is the life of the Christian all about? Having been shown mercy by our Father in heaven, we are commanded to show mercy also to others if we would call ourselves God’s children. In his famous “Sermon on the Plain,” Jesus Christ addresses all who would follow Him and be His disciples, catechizing us as to what this means.
