Mount Calvary Lutheran Church Celebration Weekend

We welcome special guest Pr. Peter C. Bender with us this weekend along with his wife Beth. Pr. Bender is the pastor of Peace Lutheran Church & Academy in Sussex, Wisconsin, and has served as Pr. Seifferlein’s pastor since seminary, and Erin’s pastor since her entry into the Lutheran Church in high school. Pr. Bender speaks around the synod and on the weekly radio show Issues, Etc. on the topic of teaching the Christian faith and it’s central importance in the church and in the home. Come for the following opportunities as we gather to learn more.

• Men’s Breakfast – Saturday, August 19, 7:30AM
  Come enjoy a hearty breakfast (free will offering of $5) and good conversation with your brothers in Christ.
• Young Families Group – Saturday, August 19, 5:30PM
  This group has expanded to include “young at heart” members of the parish, and open to all. Potluck style dinner, bring a dish or two to share. After supper, children will be excused to enjoy some organized playtime.
• Divine Service – Sunday, August 20, 9:00AM
  Pastor Bender will be preaching the sermon at our Sunday morning Divine Service.
• Adult Bible Class – Sunday, August 20, 10:30AM
  Pastor Bender will be teaching the adult Bible study as well.
