This Sunday’s Worship & Bible Class at Mount Calvary Church

Who helps us from demonic attack and possession? The Lord does. The title for this Sunday is “Eyes Sunday,” because our eyes are on the Lord, for He alone is able to pull our feet from the snare of the devil’s net. Through the power of His Word He opens our minds that we may understand His truth, and opens our lips that we might rightly confess His saving name. The finger of God has come to deliver us from Satan’s lies and domain. You may prepare by reading the Propers of the day.

Readings:

Old Testament: Exodus 8:16-24

Psalm: Psalm 4:1-8

Epistle: Ephesians 5:1-9

Gospel: Luke 11:14-28

Join us for Adult Bible Class this Sunday after Divine Service at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Lancaster PA. What is the history of the cross and how was it used in the church and by faithful Christians ever since Jesus was crucified? Come for our second of three bible studies on the cross of Jesus as we think about the use of this symbol in our renewed sanctuary.
